In this country, credit can really make you or break you. You have the options in this great nation, and it is entirely up to you to decide whether you want credit to work for you or against you. Unfortunately, no one ever teaches us how to deal with credit and how to monitor finances. There are no classes in high school or college that teach the fundamentals of credit. So our goal here on this site is to teach you the fundamentals so that you don't find yourself on the wrong side of the fence.
First of all
Don't be fooled. In this country, they get you while you are young. It is not uncommon to receive credit cards or offers for credit cards while you are in high school. These hounds in the credit card industry make a living off of interest rates and late fees, so why should they take your well-being into consideration? In fact, take a look at some of these startling statistics.
- Americans bought $2 trillion worth of stuff on credit last year (2004).
- Current outstanding debt in the U.S. stands at $800 billion.
- Average amount of unpaid credit card debt (for families who have it) is $12,000.
So where is the problem here? Are all humans inherently bad with credit? Are we all doomed and in need of credit repair? Well, at least a good 55 million or so, but not all of us. The problem is that no one ever taught us hot to properly use credit in order to avoid bad credit...till now. We are going to revolutionize this industry and change the future for all consumers. All we need is a little help from you. We need you to pay attention and spread the word. Look out world, here comes the credit revolution.
