Lots of Ways to Eradicate Debt

When it comes to debt management, do you feel like you're riding blind? You can turn into the Lone Ranger of debt relief if you enroll in a debt management program. There are at least five different debt management programs to help you get rid of your debt:

These debt management solution opportunities function primarily on reductions in interest rate, but some of them go further and get your balances reduced as well. A debt consolidation program does this by trying to get your creditors to remove past fees. A debt settlement program does it by getting your creditors to reduce what you owe by 60-80%. And most of these programs will have you out of debt in about five years. All of these programs have different requirements and qualifications. To find out which one is best suited for you, you have to contact a debt management company. You'd have to do this anyway because they implement the programs.

If the biggest part of your debt is credit card debt, you want to try to get rid of it on your own and when your credit is good, you can try transferring your credit card balances to a card with a 0% introductory rate. It's not hard to find one with an introductory period of about a year, no annual fee and no balance transfer fees. In a perfect world, you could afford to pay the entire balance off during the introductory period. Then you'd be done with your debt in a year! But the reality of it is that so many people have so much credit card debt that they usually have to transfer the balances two or three times or more. As long as you only do it once a year, you should be good. Just make sure there are no balance transfer fees. Most of those are 3% a pop, and at that point, you have to question how valuable it really is.

With so many ways for you to get rid of your debt, why are you still holding on to it? Don't be afraid to let it go - and if you are afraid find a debt management program that will push you over those last few hurdles!
